our story
We are sisters who have talked about owning a yarn shop for many years. Then, in the spring of 2006, as the world began to renew itself around us, Cindy was diagnosed with late-stage cancer. She fought a very hard fight and is one of the many miracles walking around today.
Determined to make the most of the gift of more time with her, I talked her into taking the business-partner plunge.
We started visiting yarn shops, business financiers, and locations for our shop when Barb, Cindy's Daughter (and mother of her sweet little grandson, Evan), introduced her to teaposies.
So, we took a pleasant detour and plunged into this lovely facet of our coming yarn shop. Don't worry, Black Sheep Northville is still in the works. But, now our knitting and crochet classes will be enjoying something better than we'd dreamed as they relax and get to know each other while listening to the click, click of needles carrying on what women have done for thousands of years, only with much more style. |
